TCI500 - Converter

The TCI500 is a multipurpose time code converter that can provide and interface between various time codes (such as SMPTE, EBU, and IRIG-B) and external systems. The unit can stand alone or be mounted with the optional RM4 rackmount kit.

	-11.5 to +12 hour selectable time zone offsets - 30 min increments
	Automatic daylight saving time adjustment (selectable)*
	IRIG-B decoding and generation is IEEE-1344 compliant
	Time and date information available via RS-232*
	Time mark pulse output (ttl level) at 1 per: sec, min, hour or day
	Frame rate pulse output - follows output time code selected - SMPTE (24, 25 & 30 pps) & IRIG-B 1000 pps
	Dry contact closure at 1 per: min, hour or day
	Heathkit WWV clock output emulation (for GV switchers & NTP applications)
	Accepts any time code and regenerates (or outputs different type of) time code as specified with above options
	120/240 VAC with supplied external wall mounted power supply or 12 VDC operation. Power supplies available for most countries throughout the world

NOTE ON DROP FRAME TIME CODE

Note: The drop frame time code that is generated by the TCI500 cannot be synchronized to blackburst and should not be used in critical timing applications. The drop frame time code generated by the TCI500 is non-frame compensated and is jam-sync'd to real time once in each 24 hour time period at 1am.
